Funerals may take place in St John’s followed by Burial or Cremation. If you desire a service lasting more than twenty minutes (time restriction at most Crematoria) you should always ‘opt’ for a service in Church first, where there is no time restriction and this will enable hymns to be sung, poems to be read and a proper Eulogy given.

At St John’s we see a Funeral Service as a ‘Thanksgiving’ for someone’s life and we endeavour to make it just that. The Funeral Director that you choose will liaise with the Rector in the first instance, so that dates and timings can be agreed and then the Rector will visit you to discuss the details of the Service.
