A very warm welcome and season’s greetings to everyone from the volunteers and congregation at St John’s Chester.

As the season of goodwill is almost upon on us, we would like to share our Christmas service times and news to our visitors.

Our winter opening hours are 11am to 3pm on weekdays and 10am to 4pm on Saturdays. The church is open for worship only on Sundays.

The 3rd of December is the first Sunday in Advent of the ecclesiastical year, and we are delighted to hold two events;

At 10am we welcome our Archdeacon, Mike Gilbertson, who will deliver the Eucharist service.
At 6.30pm that evening, we look forward to holding our Advent Carol Service, which is led by the wonderful Chester Advent singers, so feel free to come along and support us.

The St John’s Carol Service with readings, will be held on Sunday 17th December, at 6.30pm,

On Christmas Eve we will hold our Christmas ‘Midnight Mass’ at 7.30pm so please come along for this special service.

We would like to welcome everyone to join us for our Christmas Day Service to celebrate Christ’s birth at 10am on 25th December.

Due to the success of our wonderful prayer tree last year, our volunteers have placed another inside the inner porch for all visitors who would like to use this for their own special note or wish.

During your visit, why not call in our café and enjoy a hot drink whilst browsing around our shop for all your Christmas cards, calendars and those special gifts.
