Although the summer weather wasn’t that great this year, we were so happy to welcome many visitors from all over the world to the church. We now look forward to meeting and greeting many more visitors and if you live locally and have never visited St John’s, please pay us a visit.

Our daily display of Roman pottery and Medieval tiles and other historical artefacts continues…
This display is a great addition to the many other artifacts based around the church for visitors and historians to come and enjoy.
Chester Photo-Pilot Exhibition: Making Voices Heard Festival
From October 25th to 7th November 2024, we are delighted to be holding this event which explores: photography through myths, feelings, and personal stories. There will be 3 types of events held over 2 weeks, so please come and join us to support the festival.

Worship
All Saints Day is on the 1st November and the following day is the “Commemoration of the Faithful Departed”.
(All Soul’s Day) and there will be additional services, details of which will be announced on the noticeboards by the gates.
Remembrance Sunday
All our welcome to join this service on the 10th November and there will also be a two minutes silence at 11.00am.
The Advent Carol Service
On Sunday 1st December at 6.30pm, we welcome back this musical event which will be sung by ‘The Advent Singers’ and led again by the Revd. Canon Dr Judy Hunt.

Lady Chapel Services
Wednesday - 10.00am
Friday 12.00 noon
Please visit our Lady Chapel at any ti me to light a candle, leave prayers and to sit in quiet contemplation.
If you cannot make it to any services or events, the church is open to visitors:
11.00am to 3.00pm, Monday, Thursday and Friday.
11.00am to 4.00pm, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday - so come and say hello and have a cuppa!
